Missionary work brings such joy

posted Mar 04, 2017 00:46:21 by David.Clark
I saw this video of a man my father baptized about 31 years ago. He is presently serving as Stake President in the Bessemer Alabama Stake. The Lord and His restored gospel has transformed this man from a young, lanky basketball player who knew not Christ to a bright beacon of the Light of Christ. Like Ammon, I praise God to be a witness of what He has done in this man's life!!

I had a similar experience last summer. The grandson of a woman I helped bring into the church in 1979 was called to serve in the Utah Provo Mission and we had him over for dinner (tea). He was walking evidence that our labors made a generational impact in that family. He told me that if he hadn't grown up in the church he would have been a hard core gang banger, and with tears brimming in his eyes he thanked me for helping his grandma find the church. It was sweet beyond words.
