Return Missionary message to the Stake

posted Mar 08, 2017 05:53:54 by David.Clark
I manage my Stake's Facebook page. We had a sister missionary return home upon completion of her mission. I asked her to write something for the Facebook page that she learned from her mission. For background information, she was baptized for one year before she left. She's the only member in her family. I was so touched by what she chose to say that I had to copy and paste her message here for all of y'all to see! 😁
I just returned home on Tuesday, February 28th from the Arizona Tempe Mission also known as The Greatest Mission in the World. It was such a wonderful experience that I will always have to remember when I need an extra boost.

Many of you have served missions or will serve a mission and know the greatest tool you can have with you is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is your friend, third companion, cheerleader, blanket, and sometimes GPS. As a missionary, I prayed for this sweet gift to be with me always.

There were many times in a day my companion and I would stop in our tracks to seek the Lord's spirit for guidance. The neatest thing about those experiences is it actually worked. It can work for all of us as we prepare for a mission, after we return home, and in our families.

I know that as we live our lives in a worthy way we too can have, 'the Holy Ghost... show unto [us] all things [we] should do (2 Nephi 32:5).' I'm grateful for one of the many lessons I learned as a missionary.
I find her statement beautifully simplistic, yet powerfully profound!

Amen!
Moses 7:18

18 And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them.
