Your thoughts please...
If told to learn the "Great Law of Love", what would come to mind? Or what does the "Great Law of Love" mean to you?

I too like Charity. Christ's charity for us was at the heart of the Atonement. I believe that it's Paul who says "Charity is the greatest of all."

The first and second great commandments. Love. Love. Love. Love God. Love self. Love others. Everything hangs on love.

D&C 42:45
Thou shalt live together in love,....

History of D&C 42 (9 Feb 1831)
The first part, consisting of verses 1 through 72, was received in the presence of twelve elders and in fulfillment of the Lord's promise previously made that the "law" would be given in Ohio. (See section 38:32)

The second portion consists of verses 73 through 93. The Prophet specifies this revelation as "embracing the law of the church."

Moroni 7:47
47 But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.

1 John 4:18
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear:
because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

1 John 4:16

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.
God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God,
and God in him.

1 John 4:7

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 5:2

2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1 John 4:12

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Marci - Great book: Looking Beyond the Mark - I've just skim read a lot of it. So much to ponder. A lot of things I had not thought of before. Definitely worth reading in depth, taking time to think about it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
Through the strength of the Lord I can do all things.
